Umtshato WeSintu

We are humbled and filled with so much gratitude, to share the journey of our union with you, our friends and family…

Our Manifesto

We will create a series of beautiful experiences through the full process of wedding our two families. We have set out to immerse our family and community in a celebration of Africaness through the rich traditions embedded in the process of marriage. We call it Umtshato WeSintu, meaning An African Wedding.

With this, we would like to display and exalt, in an elegant and excellent manner, the richness of Xhosa and Ghanaian Culture through an authentic process of the coming together of two families, inspired by the love of a man and a woman. We would like to honour our parents through the process, host and entertain as well as commit our love to each other in front of our family and friends.

Most importantly we hope to inspire our community to espouse African culture deeply, an endeavor shaped by one of our shared passions; to propel The African Renaissance.

“Umuntu Ngumuntu Ngabantu.”
